Elsewhere:

  • All Financial Matters is giving away a copy of Charlie Munger’s Almanac. Charlie Munger is a close business partner of Warren Buffet. The giveaway ends tomorrow!
  • Also at AFM, a report that 60% of all NBA players go bankrupt within 5 years of retirement. It’s hard to tell if this is true, but if so that’s just pathetic and sad. If anyone has any connections, I would honestly love to be a financial adviser to professional sports players. “Here, you can spend this $2 million this year. That’s it.”
  • The Carnival of Personal Finance is hosted by Gather Little by Little.
  • Moolanomy asks if credit card arbitrage is worth it. I have been tempted several different times to give this a try, but I just can’t make myself do it…
  • Cash Money Life reminds us that money is for spending.
  • JD at Get Rich Slowly tells us he is learning to love having an emergency fund. It’s definitely a change of mentality.

Painless Savings: tip for other readers
