Weekend Roundup for July 14, 2008

by Kevin on July 14, 2008

We had a relaxed weekend that involved some serious thinking about our future. More on that later this week. For now, some of the best articles on the web in terms of finance.

PFBloggers:

  • Master Your Card gives us 12 really important questions to ask before the wedding.
  • Our Fourpence Worth wants to know if she should have to pay for fighting wildfires when she doesn’t choose to live in those areas. I say let it be like flood insurance. Highly encouraged to have it, and if you don’t, your house may not be covered.
  • Wide Open Wallet did a review of MyGallons.com, which is an interesting concept. I wouldn’t use the service.
  • Living Almost Large defines what it means to live almost large.

Elsewhere:

  • King of personal finance blogging, JD Roth, shares a cheap no-knead bread recipe. Now JD, what are the nutritional facts on it?
  • Cash Money Life offers some tips on how to tip. Get it? Tips on tipping…

Coming Up:

  • Tomorrow: A continuation of the Dumb Money series
  • Wednesday: The PFBloggers writing group has our first group writing project go live. It’s on family financial history. Stick around!
  • Later: Did we end up buying Vols season tickets?
