Weekend Roundup for September 9, 2008

by Kevin on September 9, 2008

PFBloggers:

  • Get Rich or Die Trying is documenting his financial life. The next post in the series is up. I can hear the dramatic, intense music of a sports team film starting…
  • Wide Open Wallet shares her financial goals. I’ve always said that by just having goals, you are much more likely to reach success. Goals are Pre-Step #3 in my No Debt Plan.
  • Master Your Card discusses a professor that thinks we should stop teaching personal finance. Seriously?

Elsewhere:

  • Money Grubbing Lawyer thinks your emergency fund is useless in an emergency. He makes some great points, and plus… seriously… hilarious alias. Money Grubbing Lawyer. Love it.
  • This is America. Journalists — not bloggers, real people that work for papers — get arrested and brutal treatment at the Republican National Convention.
  • Consumerism Commentary shares a link that will help you evaluate McCain and Obama’s tax plans. Essentially McCain is cutting taxes the most for the rich, Obama is raising taxes the most for the rich. Both plans still end up with growing deficits. How about cutting spending?
  • Cash Money Life wants to know why you live frugally.
  • All Financial Matters explains why he and his wife have money. I completely agree and thankfully have an awesome wife that is on the same page with me.

Thanks for the mention!

I chose the name because it is what a drunken, disgruntled client once called me, and I thought it was kind of catchy 🙂
