Mid-Week Roundup for October 23, 2008

by Kevin on October 23, 2008

Once again I am way, way behind on my weekend roundup. Here are some quality articles I’ve enjoyed from the past week.

  • Wide Open Wallet shares some deeply personal family issues and wants to know what you think. Should you care how your parents spend money? Wow, that’s a toughie. Especially the situation she is in. I think I would sit down and have a conversation with him… but at the end of the day it is his decision and his alone.
  • Kristy from Master Your Card explains why she rents rather than owns. With some of the articles I wrote two weeks ago about our home buying process (which I do plan to finish!), this makes a nice example of some smart thinking.
  • Our Fourpence Worth is now Pecuniarities. You can update your feed with this new feed.

  • Consumerism Commentary makes an excellent point about our economy and the “tough times” we are facing. Our “tough times” are the best days of most of the world’s entire lives. In other words, think in a global perspective rather than comparing yourself to the Jones’ next door.
