Since most people don't comment on an article they have no reason to click through and give you that page view. I have never really understood the push for more RSS subscribers over someone viewing the page regularly. I have finally joined the world of RSS starting with your subscriber swap saturday post, I know this has reduced the number of times I go to a page to check an update or even to see the post. Without any reason to make, or read, a comment then I don't continue on and would reduce the page views on your site.
