Interesting Links for May 2, 2009

We’ll be skipping Subscriber Swap Saturday today. Sorry about that! A combination of some mixed up schedules and me being really busy led to not being able to complete it on time this week. On top of that my wife and I are working on a home rebuilding with our church in a poorer part of town this morning.

Since I’m short on time I thought I would share some interesting articles I’ve found on the web this week.

Frugal Real Estate is run by one Frugal Dad and looks to be a great resource for home owners. He recently talked about lawn care — something I desperately need an education in — and was very quick to respond to my question. I’m looking forward to more great articles on keeping up a house and landscaping. (And learning what exactly pre-emergent weed killer is. Hmmm.)

Cash Money Life and his wife had to make a tough decision recently: whether or not to be a stay at home Mom. Tough decision and something that we’ve talked about for our future as well.

Moolanomy hits on one of my favorite topics — goals. He says you can acheive success by turning goals into actions.

Did you know your credit report can be full of errors? Prime Time Money gives us some of the most common credit report errors. (And good luck fixing them. I wrote an article about my wife’s credit report errors with I Hate Equifax.)

Free From Broke made me laugh out loud with Credit Cards Don’t Suck, You Suck! I think most of these are spot on. I’ve always said credit cards are not evil. A credit card is a piece of plastic. It doesn’t force you to be irresponsible.

FIRE Finance also hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance.

Have a great Saturday and check back tomorrow for a new personal finance article.

Good luck with the home rebuild. Good for you guys. And sorry to hear about the Equifax issue.

Thanks for the mention (both of them!). Enjoy the home rebuild – sounds like a great cause!

I suppose I mis-typed. It wasn’t a rebuild (as in to the sticks rebuild). They’re called Grace Makeovers… we go in, get all of the stuff out of the house, clean it up, repaint rooms, do repairs, put down carpet, etc. Still pretty fun and worth the 1-2 hour investment of time.
